Life's Tragedies mod kidnapping feature isn't working.

What is your current game version number? I don't know
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion packs except for Discover University. I also have Vampires, Dine Out, Parenting, and Vintage Glamour
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It's in the Life Tragedies mod when a sim gets kidnapped.
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim doesn't get kidnapped
What do you expect to see? The sim get kidnapped and not come back until they're saved.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes

I downloaded the Life's Tragedies mod and everything works fine except for the kidnapping feature. A sim from my household got kidnapped automatically and was only gone for a few seconds, came back as a ghost and then turned back to normal. He still had the kidnapped moodlet and was still terrified, as were the other members of the household. I tested this many times and had my sim kidnapped and the same thing happened every time, and after many times of testing I found something. I paused just when my sim was getting kidnapped and an action came up that said exactly this, "Held Captive-(You shouldn't be seeing this as a player- if you can see this interaction then there's something wrong." It didn't tell me what was wrong or where to go which is frustrating. I've tried everything I can so far, I've re-downloaded the mod and I've searched as many ways as I can to find out what I need to do but nothing has come up. If anyone has had this issue and solved it or knows my problem please let me know. Thanks!
