Lighting glitch

I have been having this reoccurring issue with the lighting on this lot in brindleton bay. So far this is the only lot I have that has been having this issue where the lighting will glitch to night time in some areas and angles and in other angles it will be the correct lighting. It’s really annoying when I’m trying to take pictures of my sims in the garden and the lighting is going dark? It only seems to happen in the afternoon the morning seems to be okay and night time is also fine. Please if anyone knows a solution 💔

  • This is not the only lot with bad lighting. There are more Lots with that issue. I tried different Graphicsettings over some years of playing and with more than one Computer. But no luck, it is a Game issue. It is not fixed since years.

Yeah, there's a lot in Copperdale that I really want to play and that I've built a couple of houses that I would love to play, but refuse to do so because of the inane lighting and other bugginess like sims coming swimming to visit or returning home from work.

@666_Carbide_666 Aw I didn’t realise it was another one of the sims glitches. I was hoping it was down to mods or something ☹️

@BylineBelife I haven’t played in copper dale since the pack came out so I wasn’t aware of this. It sucks that we are paying for broken packs

I've got lighting problems on most of my lots since the now infamous patch 1.69 in January (which broke many console controls). In build mode it's impossible to see, I have to add roofing last to help let light in. Even adding ceiling lights and having them all switched on doesn't help. It's not my smart TV and it's been occurring on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

When I add my lots to the gallery they look so dark, I turn every light on in the daytime to get the images to look brighter. I just added a large San Sequoia lot called Hopewell Heights to the Gallery and it was really frustrating to build as some rooms went pitch dark more than others. It has a diagonal corridor and at one point I had about 4 lights in one tiny space to light just that one corridor. I rebuilt it and it brightened up. I've built this lot in a similar style before, just last year and it's usually really bright as it's all windows.

It wasn't a problem in Tartosa or Sulani but it's really bad in The Bramblewood and San Sequoia. I may test Mt Komerebi next as I'm building today. My next Sim is my interior designer so I'll get a chance to test it as she's working on other lots. I'm recreating a lost game so can compare building on some of these lots before and there wasn't this problem until recently, at least not to this extent. Usually switching a light on is enough to brighten it up.💡
