Hello,
I updated my game yesterday (2/3/2026) to version 1.121.342 and started a vanilla test save today. The only thing I purchased was the E.A.S.L easel for the Lost Legacy quest. However, after playing awhile and completing the week one Lost Legacy event quests, I checked my inventory and found that along with the Darong family key I also have rock climbing equipment, a phone, and a second E.A.S.L. (the one I purchased is in the world on my sims' front porch) that I did NOT purchase (didn't even know you could purchase a phone). Also, when I click on the phone in my inventory the only option is "destroy," which I don't dare do in case it would do something to the actual phone or game.
I have no mods/cc in the game, and I did a repair game after the update. Hopefully you can figure this one out quickly :).

The easel and the phone were added by the event.
Not sure about the rock climbing gear. I can't check that on my save as mine crashed before I could save.
I merged your post with the main thread on the phone.

So it's intentional? That the only interaction available on the cellphone is "Destroy" ...?
Since its added by the Event, are there going to be other interactions availble as the Event progresses? Or will it just be "Destroy" the whole time?
If we destroy it, will it negatively affect the Event?
I would love some clarification, thanks! 💚

I don't know. I just know it's from the event.
My game crashed before I saved and it was recreated so I guess you should be fine if you destroy it but there's really no reason to. Just wait to see what's to come.

djsboonie I have occasionally had sims autonomously buy climbing equipment on the computer. I actually caught them doing it the last time it happened which is when I realized why I would occasionally randomly get climbing equipment in some of my sims' personal inventory. Do you have a computer in your sim's household? I'm just wondering if that's what has happened here.
Best regards,
Jennifer
