[LLQE] Phone icon with the only option being 'destroy' appears in Sim inventory

Funny thing. I restarted my Event save to test something and the climbing gear also got added

Guess the game realized that I don't have it :D 

We shall see what it's for.

would you mind making a new report for just the climbing gear ? Mine bought some without having any skills and I really don't think that's related tot he event.

I switched to another save after finishing this week's event.  I didn't play for long because I was mainly checking out the family trees and seeing how they looked with my large intermingled families. None of those households got the phone, so I can only assume something with the event triggered it.

So it's intentional? That the only interaction available on the cellphone is "Destroy" ...?

Since its added by the Event, are there going to be other interactions availble as the Event progresses? Or will it just be "Destroy" the whole time?

If we destroy it, will it negatively affect the Event?

I don't know. I just know it's from the event.

My game crashed before I saved and it was recreated so I guess you should be fine if you destroy it but there's really no reason to. Just wait to see what's to come.

My sim got this phone as well. What is it supposed to do? Will I be able to finish the event if I accidentally destroy it? 

We shall see as the event goes on.

I got a new one after my game crashed without saving so I'm guessing the game will just spawn a new one but I'm not going to risk trying :D

With the save corruption issue STILL running rampant, I really want an official statement from the EA team about the cellphone in our Sims' inventory. This whole "not-knowing-if-its-safe" & "just wait and ignore it" doesn't feel right or professional.

The thought of a buggy phone from another buggy event in my Sims inventory possibly corrupting our saves makes me want to not participate at all.

EA_Cade​ as a commmunity manager, would you be willing to soothe some of our fears about the unknown?

Just wanted to add that all 4 household members have the phone, even the toddlers. I am not touching my event save except for the tasks in the hope this will get resolved or answered.
