Loading screen stuck after CAS – MacBook Air M4

I am experiencing a bug where the game gets permanently stuck on the loading screen every time I try to play a household after creating it in CAS.

Platform: MacBook Air M4 (2025), macOS (latest)
Game version: Latest (downloaded via EA App)
Mods/CC: None
Expansion packs: Seasons and city living

Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch The Sims 4 via the EA App
2. Start a new game or load an existing save
3. Create a new household in CAS
4. Click the checkmark to finish and place the household in a world
5. The loading screen appears and never progresses — the game is permanently stuck
