Thanks so much for being so willing to help me with this, by the way. There's a lot of really stressful things in my life right now and the sims is my de-stressor, so this is adding a lot of ahhhh to my already very ahhhhhhhhh life, but seeing a complete stranger be so willing to help other people out with their game is so nice, even if my save is broken forever, so thank you.

I removed my saves file and used yours, went to 'Resume', and it entered the lot of your Sims fine. However, after this it got dicey...
I chose to exit to 'Manage Worlds' and it did leave okay... it went to the World Menu View | Manage Worlds view:
Then if I try to enter Newcrest, it only loads a white screen:
Then my game and computer crashed while I was trying to update this reply.
So... I tried again, and this time at the Main Menu I entered via 'Load Game'. This seemed to continue in load/spinning plumbob screen and not actually load the save. Had to 'force quit' to leave. When I tried again a second time (entering via 'Resume') the game did not crash and I did not need to force quit, but otherwise I had the same results.
While in the lot in live mode I went to build mode and tried to save the home to my Library. It did show it as having Custom Content (blue wrench on screenshot below), though my game is vanilla, and I had gotten a message that two items were removed each time I loaded the lot, so I would have thought it stripped out any CC.:
However, after the saving to Library completed the only thing I saw in the library was this family, not the lot:
So, I can confirm in my game that these behaviors are showing. I am on Mac and have no Mods or CC.
