@kameo123, with The original Sims there was a stove that set into your counters. But then you didn't have an oven. 😞 I think that is why they don't make them in the game anymore. You would have to buy an oven separately, and that would take up more space than having an all-in-one unit!
Also, There are a lot of people who don't place their trash under the sink. It depend somewhat on where you live and how big your family is.🤔 My husband and I do not keep our trash under the sink, nor do my parents, his parents, or my sister in law! I also have friends who don't keep their trash under the sink because they want to teach their young children to throw out the trash themselves, but they store chemicals under the sink with baby locks to keep their kids save. Having the trash under the sink would mean that the children couldn't learn to clean up after themselves until they are much older. 🤨
But I agree that it would have been great if they had made the mini fridges be able to be put under the counters! 🙂 Well, at least they let us put microwaves, coffee pots, or other things on top of them! 😉

@PugLove888I'm from Norway so maybe that's why I'm quite used to having the trashcan under the sink. I might have confused trashcan and trashbin :D but we have the trashcans with the plasic bags or "enviroemntal friendly" bags stored under the sink or in cabinets. We still have to take out the trash as everyone else, but it's just more convinent to have it stored there for us. I'd personlly just like to have more choices in sims.
It is more of the scandinavian style of kitchens maybe.
When it comes to the stove they should have made it so that you can put the oven under the stove if youæs like or keep them seperate. Just really love the style of keeping the cabinet but having the induction stove on top. Maybe also be able to put the oven on the tall cabinets in the middle like some kitchen have. There are so many different kitchen styles that are out there and I wish sims would make it possible to have more functional varieties.
I love the sims so much and building is my absolute favorite thing, but after five years and the development in tecnology I feel like we should have gotten more. At least have more options and not just another bar that is just looking a little different.
I've seen that there is a lot in the sims that is just the same, just a different "style" on it. Like the fireplaces. There are no fireplace that is small and modern. They all look very similar in the shape. I've seen so many amazing cc creators that make free stuff that has more varietythan what we pay for in the packs.

@kameo123, yes there are some differences in how houses are set up in different countries. I enjoy watching a show called House Hunters International, where people look for a new home all over the world. I've noticed in some countries it is common to put the laundry machines in the bathroom, while other countries put them in the kitchen. In the U.S. we usually put them in a small room by themselves, or in older houses with basements we will put them down there. Some countries do not have ovens at all in the average kitchen.
I do know some people who put their trash under the sink in the U.S. but it seems to be more up to the individual family.😉
And I can see the desire to make your Sims' houses match what you have in your country. That is only natural! 🙂 Some people were puzzled as to why the dorms in Discover University didn't have kitchens in them , only a mini fridge and microwave. In the U.S. that is common in order to avoid fires. Some dorms in the U.S. do have a cafeteria in the common area, but others don't have that at all and the main areas to eat are the Student Commons, just like in Discover University.
I agree with you about the bars in the game! There are way too many, which is silly since many people don't have a bar in their home at all. 🤨 (But I do like the one that came with Discover University 😳😃 )
Yes, the small modern fireplaces were present in the Sims 2 and the Sims 3! 🙂 The were kind of round and tapered at the top. I miss those as well! I don't know why they are absent in The Sims 4. 🤔 Hopefully we will get it back for TS4 eventually! 🤞The house I grew up in had the stove on set in the countertop above some cabinets and the oven on the wall with cabinets above and below it. When I remade that house for TS4, I just had to put the stove-oven combination where my mom's stove would be, and instead of an oven in the wall, I just put floor cabinets that wen from floor to ceiling. It works, but I would rather have had the two separated, just like you mentioned! 🙌

@PugLove888Oh I love watching documentaries like that! Seeing different styles and cultures represented in houses is dacinating and inspirational.
Becasue I enjoy trying to make "cultural" houses that match someones backroun, I loved the build and buy stuff from jungle adventure: It opened up so many different things that matched some of the more south American styled objects and flooring we had. The only annoying thing is the swathces. Why don't some of the woood swatches match"!?!?!?
That is one major problem I find with new packs. There should be a set of wood tones that all build and buy objects should have. They do remebr to put in a completly white and black in the newer packs, but sometimes I want a more natural wood tone and I am stuck with just a few that match. Therefor all my builds have white windos mostly 😃
We have our washer and dryer in the basement, but in our old house we had it in a seperate room. I forget to make a seperate room for it in sims so it just ends up in one of the bathrooms 😃
I loved the bar from DU it was so perfect and with the thingy on top made it more unique.
I struggle a lot with trying to make my house becuase we have split leveling with out dinigroom and livingroom. It just looks wonkey and can't put the dors to the patio outside because of the walls and stuff.
I've actually downloaded two new kitchen sets (cc) today that work really well with modern and traditional houses. I find myself going on cc shopping sprees quite often lately. I've downloaded in total 17 kitchen sets 👿 And I've mostly downloaded all of peacemakers objects sets cc as well.
If the sims made more content that was comepletly new, like L-shaped sofas or bunkbeds I think a lot of cc creators could make different styles ofr that so that everyone could have more options. Thats mostly what I wish for the sims to do.
Do you use any cc? I personally only stick with maxis match
