  • @invisiblebeki  Try transferring the mods and custom content again, except this time, zip the files together before moving them.  You can right-click on the Mods folder and select Compress (Windows), or Send to > Compressed (zip) File (macOS).  On the new computer, right-click and select Extract.

Yesterday i found out that my mods only work when the sims 4 folder is in my OS drive (C🙂 but i have no more storage there. When i try transferring everything to my D drive, it doesnt work anymore. Is there anyway to fix this?

@invisiblebeki If you're talking about your GAME files, it doesn't matter where they are. Mods don't go there. They stay in your documents folder.

If you are referring to your documents folder, you'll have to move the entire Documents folder. Redirect it. You can go that by Right-clicking on Documents, select Properties, then Location, and move it to another drive. (This is on Windows, have no idea how to do it on a mac)

@invisiblebeki  If you want to redirect Documents to D, please do exactly as this tutorial describes; it's easy to mess up the move and sometimes difficult to undo the damage.

If you'd like to move only the Sims 4 user folder to D, you can use a symbolic link instead, but please back up your Sims 4 user folder first; copying it to some other subfolder on D is fine.
