Moving NPCs into houses

I really want to move my NPCs (Father Winter, service sims, etc.) into their own houses without them losing their jobs. I understand I wouldn't be able to play them, and that is no issue, I'd just really like to build them their own houses and maybe even give them families if that is possible.

I want to avoid duplicate sims, and I want them to keep their jobs, so getting them from the gallery and placing them again is not something I want to do.

I would also like to move Agnes & Agatha Crumplebottom into their own house, but this time I'd like to actually play them.

Is there a way to do all of this & is there a way to replace Agnes & Agatha Crumplebottom's NPCs so I can play them without having 2 of them in my save? I'm totally okay with using mods too.

  • thestarsaround  As long as you never make the sims playable by entering the lot in live mode you place them on, you can place them in a house if you can see them in either tab of Manage Households.  Keep in mind that if you ever enter the lot you placed them on in live mode to play them, they will lose their role.  You can enter the lot in live mode as a visitor to the lot and in build mode from the map.  New sims will be created to fill those roles as well.  Agnes and Agatha are the exception to those you've named.  They are hidden sims that you cannot move into houses by asking them to join or move in with your sim, nor can you marry them.  I suggest you leave those 2 alone.  And if you play with aging on for unplayed sims, they will continue to age unless you use a mod to make them immortal.

    Hope this helps.
