multiple sims 4 folders?

Hi 🙂 So I was watching a Youtuber who is a modder and I noticed that in her Documents/Electronic Arts folder she has multiple Sims 4 folders that she uses for different games, such as one for modded called The Sims 4.modded, one for base game vanilla called The Sims 4.base, etc. I tried doing this as it would be really useful to be able to have this, but I wasn't sure how to correctly go about this to be able to play different games from each of the said folders instead of just the main one that the game chooses when I click play on The Sims 4 in Origin or a shortcut. Help!!

  • @clerbird321 Should be easy enough. Just rename the Sims 4 folder to something else and the game will create a new one. You'll just have to rename the folders around so whichever you want to play, rename to "The Sims 4"

The folder found in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 with the saves that you want to play needs to be named The Sims 4
If you decide to keep separate folders for The Sims 4.base and The Sims 4.modded you will need to rename the one you want to play back to The Sims 4 in order to play.
Once you have the folder with that name you can use either Origin or the desktop shortcut to play as usual.
