    Hi @PoptartJuniper that's not what I was seeing, they were genuinely like the Basil plants. One of my old mods had crept it's way into my game and completely messed up my gardening. I managed to fix it last night and now my apples grow apple trees again. Thank you for your help @PoptartJuniper and @crinrict ... I'll close this now 🙂

@honnahoops I tried this out in my game and this is what I found.

I put down planters in the fall (apple tree time) then purchased the starter fruits as you indicated. After planting them, they sprouted.

A couple in game days later they finished growing and were full trees.

So are the sprouts what you are seeing and thinking they are herb plants?
