suprana1 If you're still interested, would you be willing to share your broken save(s)? You could upload them to a third-party filesharing site (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and either post the link here or send it to me via PM. If you use Google Drive, make sure "anyone with the link" can share it.
As for whether the saves are gone for good, I've been able to load some broken saves on patch 1.120. So if EA figures out what's wrong on patch 1.121 and is willing and able to fix it, then your saves might be usable again. But I don't know how likely that is because I don't know the root cause. Some of it appears to be genealogy-related, but that's about as far as my understanding goes.
