My sim is being held hostage by the university

Has anyone had any issues with the "packing up and moving out" event? My sim finished her 1st term then it asked her if she wanted to do another term or take a break, so I chose take a break and that's when I got the the moving out event because she can't live in university housing if she's not enrolled which I understand. My problem is the event won't stop restarting. I dragged all my sim's stuff into her inventory, ended the event early, but it still won't let her leave the lot! I even waited for the event to finish on its own but it just keeps restarting, which is preventing my sim from leaving not to mention I can't save my game. I had her drop out of school just to get it to stop, which meant she lost her credits and I lost my gameplay progress. I had to quit without saving 😡🤬

TD;LR When I withdraw my sim from the term, I got stuck in an endless loop with the "packing up and moving out" event that made it impossible for my sim to travel or for me to save my game.

    Yup, I had quit without saving. The game wouldn’t allow me exit out of “packing up and moving out.” I couldn’t even command my sim to do anything. I think my issues had to do with having the old version MCCC and/or the new patch. I had problems right before the game became unplayable...my student sim completed all her courses impeccably and was given an “f” for all her classes.

    One of my premade university sims Julia Wright was given a job and removed from her university household and now I can't move her back in with her room mate cause it says she isn't enrolled in the university. The expansion seems a bit buggy. I'm currently in the process of enrolling her so she can move back in. Every new expansion or pack something is always messed up. :(

    I have no clue what to do except maybe tey to repair my game. That doesn't work, I'll just to make sure my sim lives on a residential lot when they enroll into school. It's going to take away from the university experience or living on campus but st least my sim will still be able to visit the world and participate in the events.

    I figured out how to solve it. You have to be quick when you do it though. Either you can wait for the timer to run out or end it early, and while the game is switching notifications (like switching between telling you time is up and time to pack up) click on the calendar and plan any event IN A NEW LOCATION and set the start time to “now”. It will take you to the location of your event and you can save your game and move out there. I don’t know if it will work if you don’t have the calendar since you would have to do it from your phone but it may be blocked on the phone. Hope this helps!

    Well, my game decided to kick the premade students living in student quarters into the unfavored section of household management. I assume they quit uni? Still, I had them favored already, so they should just have gone into the Not in World, but remain favored. I'm just glad I discovered it in time before the game culled them :/

    My problem was that I added my sim's friend to my family, and the friend was not enrolled in the university, and then I killed the friend before packing up finished, but now my sim can't travel.
    Help!
