Look for sources of noise in the bedroom. Radio/TV, windchimes or other.
@jpkarlsenThat's not it. It's the same on mine. Yet another bug from ECO. Sims don't stay sleeping for very long. They just get up. It's not a NAP issue this time because it does it on a clean save with NPC voting disabled and no NAPs. They don't get up to do something else like the bugs with clay, cubes, exercising, it's none of that. They just stop sleeping. No radio.
I have played for a long time. None of my many Sims have woken up apart from the usual reasons Noise, Toddlers bad dreams, (solved by reading them to sleep), children monsters (solved by spraying for monsters under the bed or using a nightlight (parenthood)) Children with the independent trait may talk to the monster and become confident no longer scared. Adult apart from noise may be woken by Toddlers/Children for the above reasons and by pets (they can be taught not to wake up Sims) In these cases the target sim will get out of the bed and stand waiting for them. If they are far away (say on another floor) it may time out and they start doing something else. By far the most common cause is noise sources in the bedroom or no door but an arch to an adjoining room with noise makers which are not limited to radios. This has nothing to do with ECO but has been like this forever.
- @jpkarlsen I know where you're coming from. I do. But it doesn't mean it's not happening or not a bug. Look at the bug causing plants to revert to dirt piles. LOTS of users have been reporting that. I've TRIED. For real-life WEEKS to recreate it. It simply won't happen on my game. Yet many users have posted pics, saves, and everything. It's a bug, but doesn't happen for everyone.
I've seen just about everything in the game. I have 3,000 hours in Sims 4. This one is new. The bug with the corrupt NAP commodities was different. They would stop sleeping, cooking, everything to do another task. Exercise, play with clay, cubes, bake cakes, berate each other... This is different. It only occured with sleeping and they don't immediately do another task. The sleeping task just stops. It doesn't happen every time either. The bug with plants is reported by many so it doesn't matter that you can not reproduce it. The people with Sims waking up so far have all either responded that the suggestions worked or not returned at all suggesting that it did work. When only one report something it is far more likely that the problem is local. So I suggest you remove mods & CC plus delete localthumbcache.package then test. If you want to I can also test your save where you see this. If so zip up your saves folder upload it to a filesharing site and PM me a link..
my sims just started doing that. i have never had any bugs for years of playing sims on playstation and PC. this time it is weird and frustrating since i have been playing the household for days and improving now i can't do anything it doesn't nap nor sleep. i tried napping at the park didn't work also changed the bed and still wouldn't work i have log out of the game and hoping to start it again seeing that it resolved on it's own though i doubt it. not sure why some people find it hard to believe that this is an actual problem. my sims lives alone and i have no windchimes and no tv or radio on and all moodlets are full except the sleep. it was very inspired and i thought maybe couldn't sleep because of that but even with bad moodlet it doesn't sleep
- @gtabestplayer123 several of my Sims starting doing this. They wake up, look at furniture or decor they like and then I prompt to go back to sleep. Every single time they get up they go to look at decor. So for me it's something in like dislike or the deco pack. Only some do it and I've yet to understand why some do and others don't
My one werewolf female young adult sim is not being able to sleep she has the wolf nap but I don’t have any mods that I know of and I don’t think I have any noises outside do you know what I can do please help thank you
If you have removed all the previously mentioned possible noises and checked you have a door not an archway to the bedroom. You could try zooming in until you are basically hovering over your sim, make sure your audio settings are set to high for this testing and that your speakers or headphones are on a reasonably high level (don't hurt your ears!), and hit play. Don't fast forward for this. This allows you to listen to what your sim can hear in the game. When they woke up, did you hear anything?
Also, I would start with looking at the bed's comfort rating. if it's high, then continue troubleshooting:
Troubleshooting Suggestions:
- When they wake up, hit pause and expand all their moodlets. Do you see anything with a negative moodlet?
- As they sleep, as they wake up, and as they do whatever they do right after waking up - What are the images in their thought bubbles? It would be reasonable to write those down and post them in the forum if you need help brainstorming possible interpretations of the images from thought bubbles.
