So I recently had to uninstall and reinstall the sims 4 due to an annoying pausing issue. They stop mid task and just stand there. It only fixed it temporarily and has sadly returned. That's my main issue.. there are a few other issues I have been experiencing such as aging up.. They will teleport outside to age up or not age up at all. On the calendar, birthdays are not appearing. Only events/holidays.
@GraveSweeneys Please test in a clean user folder. Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know which problems are still present.
Some issues, for example sims teleporting in certain situations, are known bugs. But others should not be present at all.
Yeah, I took out all my anti-lag mods after the last patch and recently tried to play my "Super Sim." If everyone was at home, it was total Children of the Corn time where everyone stood around creepily staring into space and then, two game hours later, dropped their queues. Except their pets, who all wanted to run away. Perhaps they were afraid of their Uncanny Valley owners.
If I took one to four of them somewhere, gameplay was normal. I deleted/sold a slew of decorations on their home lot anyway.
Well, I put the mods back and there's a lot less Children of the Corn happening, but it's still a bit laggy ("I think I'll stand next to my bed and stare into space for 10 seconds/10 game minutes before getting in and sleeping) and I'll probably move two of them out. (Adult daughter of the married couple and her Servo bestie. I can't separate those two.) After I temporarily move out Super to do the Country Caretaker aspiration, of course.
