My sims aren’t able to sleep etc. (Sims4)

I’ve had this problem for quite awhile and it’s really annoying, I start a game and everything is working fine. Like my sims can do everything they’re supposed to do and nothing is wrong. Then after playing for a while they aren’t able to do anything, they can’t sleep, they can’t use the bathroom, pick up stuff or make food. It’s really annoying because every time this happens I try to fix it but nothing works so I’ll just start a new game. I just want to be able to play in the same world without this happening. This usually happens after my sims have a baby if that makes a difference. I’m really desperate for help!
