I just logged in today, and my event rewards are back. I don't know what caused it to reappear.
I am not playing offline, my social features are on.

are you playing on Steam, EA app or Epic and if so, did you claim them on the same platform you are playing on now ?
I am playing on Steam/EA app because I have dlc on both. I usually launch the sims from steam and that is where i redeemed the event rewards. I just launched the sims 4 from steam and then again on the EA app and the rewards weren't there.
Did you do any other of the events and are those things still available ?
As a last resort, please try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
