- @Sheli38 I did it. With a NPC (the artisan one) and with a Sim in another family I'm playing.
Did you do anything specific for it to happen or did they have any particular traits? Was the NPC in your world or in the bin? Every time I try to do it they tell me they’re not a place where they want to do it. Sooo annoying.
- The artisan, is the one who is there for everyone, was introduced with Eco Lifestyle. They don't live in my world/neighborhood, but in Evergreen Arbour. I can tell you that with both characters, I have a great level of friendship, so very often they text me or call me. That's how I was able to advise them to expand the family, they called me directly to ask my opinion on the matter.

I did that sort of accidently. Playing one of my older families, I had the Mom go visit her married daughter on another lot. While she was there, I had her talking to her son in law and saw the option to discuss expanding the family. So I tried it. That set off a train of events. First, he said he'd have to talk to his wife in response. I left and went home. Later on, I get a call from the daughter saying that they had talked about it and decided to do it. Since the daughter was a key holder, she showed up a day or two later pregnant. A day later, I got another call saying that the baby had been born and would I like to come over and see the new baby. It was a Yes/No pop up. Saying yes, immediately traveled the Mom sim back to their house.
I thought it was pretty neat with the way it worked. Almost like real life.

As the whole thing was released, I discuss expanding the family with the lover from my sim. My sims got magical pregnant form this thing. So yes, it’s work in a vanilla game.
- Purple_Tragedy4 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Sheli38 My sim failed with the husband but succeeded with the wife and they never ended up expanding the family.... but that was the only time I had a sim succeed on any of the new interactions. I've never succeeded with the job one either.
- @Sheli38 It worked a bit too well in my game! A neighbour in Evergreen harbour phoned to ask my Sims opinion, but I said no to them having another baby... next time I looked she'd had 3 of them.
I've also had elder Sims that I created asking if they should have another baby, again I said no and this time no meant no. - xochiquetzl_xkvn4 years agoSeasoned Ace
I had a Sim agree, call us to tell us she was pregnant, and invite us over to meet the baby... but there's no baby! MC Command Center says she has the same number of children she had before we had the conversation. ☹️
I do have mods; I don't know if that makes a difference.

I had the call several times of Sims asking whether they should, then I said yes and they answered "cool, I will", but they never actually got any children. I begin to wonder whether this interaction of Neighborhood stories works at all - at least for me.
