@DonroaAkashu , well we won't be able to actually swim in the ponds, just splash around the edges (great for children!). And we can stock them with fish. Here is a tweet about it from a Sim Guru Antonio Romeo (@SimGuruRomeo) / Twitter
I think I also heard that there will be a river in the new world/neighborhood so that might be were we see Sims swimming in deeper water. But I do remember noticing in the trailer that there was a child splashing on the edge of the pond. So I think some people are confusing the two.
Yes, I'm addicted to gardening, even if it is just a few plants. So my Sims in apartments have a hard time and can only grow a few things and no trees! Did you notice that it looked like kids can help cook in this pack?!?! I also heard that you can find different color bunnies by searching for them in the "wild"! 🐰🐇
There will probably be quite a few new Challenges that people can participate in if they wish with this pack. And some updates to existing challenges, I would assume! 🥳
I would think the Lot Challenge would be a lot trait, but it is possible they could implement it another way. 🤔
And yes, I'm very, very excited about this pack! 🥳🥰🍄🥳
@PugLove888 Oh, I was hoping someone would post so that I could post again! I am getting more excited about this pack, because it looks in the trailer as if the water is built on the editable lot, which means there is a natural pond tool added, which you confirm! Thank you for the link, I don't read twitter, so that was helpful. I have looked forward to a pond tool for a long time, and will use it extensibly. I don't even care that the sims only can splash in it. Perhaps they will add to it further on.
And I am sorry, but I tried to ignore the rabbit, and I don't play with children; but I like the bird singing, I think I will add that tree to many lots!

@DonroaAkashu , 🤣🙌🥳
From what it looks like, you will use a tool to dig the hole for the pond, but you will use a water tool to add water to it. Landscapers/Builders like @SheriGR are going to love this! 🥰 I don't read Twitter either, but a friend sent the link to me.
As for birds, I already have some birds with the Backyard Stuff Pack (the bird feeder has birds!) so I am more excited about the rabbits and foxes in the wild. There looks to be ducks or swans, but those might just be decoration/effects much like butterflies if you don't go camping with the Outdoor Retreat Game Pack. I love family gameplay, though when I explore packs that don't feature it, I usually make a single Sim for simplicity (pun totally intended!😜 ) or perhaps a couple.- DonroaAkashu4 years agoSeasoned Ace
Hehe, there should be a 'you make me laugh' button here! I'm all for puns, and the description of this pack were simply flooded by them, puh!
I have that pack, and place the bird feeder everywhere, for the simple interaction and the moodlet it provides. I like building, but I want there to be a reason for the lots existing in my world, not just aesthetics; and so all these kind of small interactive objects are well appreciated.- PugLove8884 years agoHero (Retired)
@DonroaAkashu , I love puns too! 🤪
I can't wait to see what more we can do with Cottage Living! 😃
I love smaller interactive objects... now if we can just get a desktop microscope and a decent sized telescope I'd be happy! 😅

@PugLove888 & @DonroaAkashu I also LOVE that bird feeder!! I believe I only made a pond that is workable for both swimming and fishing once. It took me hours of testing, placement and MOO and just to make that pond (which is actually a pool), so thought it is possible currently this will be an amazing and fun tool to use for lots on which this makes sense!
I hope the swimming/landscaping ponds will also have fish. Did you hear any mention of that? I didn't notice. Of course you can make it into a pond with the fishing sigh debug item, but it will be nice if it happens by default.Edit (comment 26 and earlier mentions, apparently!! I'm late to the party!)... looks like you can stock the landscaping ponds with fish and splash at the edge.I've dreamt of making a working farm that also used the off-the-grid feature. I think when the pack comes out I will first make a normal country home to play, then my next goal can be off-the-grid. I may or may not include some of the Eco Living stuff to do that. My preference for that is to go more 'Amish/back-to-nature' and not use the 'English' (lol - Amish joke intended)/modern stuff in it to help (solar panels, generator, etc.)

I have made several 'ponds' using the pool tool; for instance, in Selvadorada I made them look like swamp water, all murky and brown, and placed the debug fish objecs to make swimming with the fishes possible. Here where I live an inland water body equals swimmable water, so I will continue to make them but the pond tool will be great for smaller areas of water looking more natural in the edges, the pool rim is hard to cover up (I don't use moo). It would be nice if there was fishes in the pond, to add, but the koi water lillies from Snowy Escape works good as well for decorative purposes.
