No longer being nominated for accolades

@Corpsette1 my Sims are still winning for various things despite not always receiving any nomination notifications. I just turn up at every award ceremony every Sunday and make sure to not miss a minute of it and they still win regularly.

To check if it's working in your game I'd do that, but I'd also add a More Views Video Station. I'd record a lot of videos and make sure they are of good quality and edited with effects before uploading. I'd keep doing this and turning up at each ceremony to see if you get awards for any videos.

If you still don't win anything then let us know and also if you could tell us if you play on Xbox/PlayStation or PC/Mac with mods or CC? If it's the latter it's always advised to test on a vanilla game to identify if there's a bug or a mod issue. I'm on Xbox Series X.

Who gets the awards and why they receive one and which show they will get them at does seem to have some randomness to it.  I have had sims get one at the first awards show they attend.  Others might have to wait four or five shows. For others, it can seem that it takes forever.   I play a lot of households, and many have celebs at all star levels, but the majority are 5 stars.  I have gotten sims nominated while I was playing them and didn't get an award before I moved on to another household.  In a couple of cases, it was several sim years (sim year=4 seasons) before I played them again and when I sent them to an awards show or two, they got the award.  I have several sims that have gotten multiple awards.  

From that, I don't think the game forgets who gets nominated.  If you keep going to the award shows, eventually they will get their award or maybe several.  Not sure on that, but from what I have seen in my game, I think that is pretty much the case.  So, just keep going to the shows.  You don't have to go every week for a sim to get their award has been my experience as well.

@Corpsette1 starlight accolades is a tricky one.

first of all there are 4 categories that your sim can win:

best acting

best book

best song

best video

there are also other categories such as fashion and being a good all around sim or just for no apparent reason (the host just says how excited the sim is for getting an award or something) - those can only be won by npcs (could be from played households, they will even get the award in the household inventory if they win). 

the event itself lasts until 11pm and the host will present as many awards as he can until the clock hits 11. that's when he will say the event is over and everyone leaves.

not all categories will be presented as time will run out after 2-4 awards (i don't think i ever got to 5 maybe I'm wrong), and nominees for categories not presented will carry on to next week's event. Nominees also carry on to next week if you dont attend the event.

as for your case:

i think you already got nominated so:

either the award wasn't presented in your category, or you missed an event (happens to me more than you think).

Both cases you are still nominated in that category. try a different one, there are 4.

there is no point of trying to publish in the same category as you are already nominated and therefore will not get a nomination message.

i save my game before i publish. if i don't get nominated, i reload and move on to a different category and try to publish later. trust me, it works.

get your sim at least 3 nominations (only an actor can get 4), save before traveling to the event and get there before 6pm, i get there 5 minutes earlier. Sometimes the host gets distracted which results in low award count. Its good to have a fresh save to try again.

every event i win at least 2 awards (different sims though).

Edit: i just had 2 sims win an award for best book in the same event. So i guess it is possible for same category to present two awards.

My other sim got an award for best song and video award was not presented. So it would be pointless to upload videos as they are all still nominated for next week's event.
