I realize this post is quite old but I was having the same issue and out of sheer exasperation I typed a space and nothing else, and then hit search - lo and behold, THE ENTIRE DEBUG APPEARED! Plants, cars, rocks, waterfalls, it's all there!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been here before your answer and nothing had worked, It was months without debug objects but your solution saved me!
