NPCs won't stop asking for advice
What does turning off invites do? Is there any way I can stop sims from asking me for advice? There should be a setting I can turn off.

It gets really annoying when your kid does not stop asking for advice every few seconds honestly it's more of an annoying chore.
Turning off Invites means your Sims won't get invitations to do things. It should have no effect on Sims asking for advice. Invites always include the Sim receiving the phone call. Advice almost never does.
I don't think there's any way to stop NPCs from asking you for advice except POSSIBLY by reducing all your friendships and romances to negative levels and keeping them there. I've never tried to stop this behavior so I don't know if even that will work.
