Ok What Mod broke the shower Woohoo?

I click on a sim and shower woohoo and she is like what are you talking about waving her hand with the question mark above her head.. so I go to the shower and no options to woohoo.. and yes I have the University one.. and I tried two locations and many showers... but no shower woohoo... >.<

  • @RavenLure  Yeah it does sound like something is broken, but no worries we'll all try to work together to get this thing figured out :D

The regular Shower Woohoo that was added to Sims 4 with the Discover University pack seems to require a couple of open spaces in front of the shower for the interaction to work properly. If you try it in a small area like the gym in Oasis Springs you'll get a routing error & your Sim will waive their arms like this:

There is a wall too close on the right side & there isn't enough room for the game to run the special animations. If this is what you are seeing, that's normal.

If you remove the wall, then there should be enough space to for the game to complete the interaction.

If you are using a mod that affects shower woohoo it's very likely this mod needs updating. It's very common for mods to become obsolete whenever there is a new game patch release. For any mod you might have like this, please go to the mod creator's web page to see if there are any new updated versions available & follow whatever instructions the mod creator has provided. With luck this will fix everything for you! :D

Btw- You'll still want to delete the localthumbcache.package from your Sims 4 folder any time you make a change in your Mods folder.

It's best to always check for mod updates after any new game patch. For some great info on mod updates, including links to a few of the more popular mods, please follow the link below.

"That is what is happening .. some times, but I have woo hooed in smaller spaces. and I do not even get that option any  more.. either on the shower or when I click on sims at the gyms.. I did  put down the exact same shower with more room around it,  you could have did a square dance around and still they were not able to woohoo...

Nothing has changed when I removed the mods... they are all removed....I deleted the tumbnail thing and cleared out last exceptions AND I did a repair. Still woo hoo-less in the sims..😳☹️

Ok i still stand by haveing woohooed in showers in smaller places.. like in the gym I did . but I moved all three showers out. where as at first I only moved one or put one out in the middle of the bathroom... sill sims they  did not realize I put one out in the middle of the room.. so I put  ALL THREE.... and low and behold.... woo hoo happened. I guess I will have to go and rework some gyms a bit earlier than intended.. LOL ya trying to do my own sim save.... and gyms were not on my list of things to do next. but they just got bumped up  on that list....geesh. LOL

Ya I guess we could close this out but I hope the Sims Team tweak this just a bit. how much room do they need really? LOL they are IN the shower not poking out of it... well it is steamy so who knows..

@RavenLure I'm glad to hear it's at least sort of working for you now. If taking your mods out did not make any difference, then you should be all good for putting them back in your game. Just make sure you have the most current versions first. I personally use quite a few mods & they don't give me any problems as long as I maintain them properly (though yeah there is always some risk). You'll also want to make sure you properly remove any older/outdated versions of any mods you are using while installing updated versions.

    Good luck! :D
