Open world for future sims games

I love sims. Amazing. I have all the packs for sims 3 and 4, my only issue. I wish sims 4 was open world. I dont like loading screens. But I still play religiously. Great game. For the next game can we get open world, I like buying them cars and having them drive around. My sims always get trapped on my lot with out me realizing because I dont go to other places. I like the stores idea. I never made a store though cuz jumping back between home and the store loading screen was just not for me. Sims 4 is great though, just miss driving around😭

@RogueRageArts, (interesting screenname! 😃 )  while EA could add cars to TS4, it is my understanding that they can't add an open world to TS4 because it was built on an entirely different game engine than what TS3 had! 🤨  They did this because TS3's open world caused a ton of problems! 😢  Especially as the series went on and you got all of the packs that came out. People with lesser computers pretty much couldn't play it because the game would grind to a halt! 😠  Most people would have the game stalling continuously and starting again , but some of us would have to wait 15 or more real life minutes just to do a simple task in the game! 😬  It would take me  more than 20 minutes just to load the game, and then up to 45 minutes to open CAS.  This was far worse than waiting 30 seconds or 2 minutes for a loading screen in TS4! 🤨  A single Sim day could take me 4 real life hours to play, and I didn't even have CC or Mods once I removed them.  While the open world was fantastic in theory, it didn't work at all for many people. 😢  TS4 was made so more people could actually play the game! 😉:eahigh_file:  Also TS3 would have empty venues a lot of time you had your Sim go somewhere, especially if it was in the middle of the night.  At least with TS4 every time I go to a venue there is at least a few people on the lot, and often times there are many people to interact with! :eahigh_file:

I loved a lot of things I loved about TS3, it was just a shame that it was like pulling teeth just to use them. 😞

Your best bet for an open world would be to see if there is one in TS5 (if they even make a TS5).  I'm hoping that they can find a way to have an open world that actually works! :eahigh_file:  They say computers today should be able to handle TS3... I don't know if that is true or not (I'm not a tech expert), but I had a different computer than the one I have now.  But I started TS4 on the same computer that I had TS3 on, and I was surprised and pleased at how smooth it ran compared to TS3! 🤨 Hopefully your computer is robust enough to play both TS3 and TS4! 😉  (My favorite version of the Sims was TS2 for its awesome gameplay! ❤️🥳

    Happy Simming!

  • Thanks for the reply. Posted this to start a conversation.  And my screenname has been with me since middle school(junior in college now). TS3 does work crazy smooth on newer PC. I have a gaming laptop just for sims and it runs TS3 and 4 with all the packs and mods smooth, no lag or anything. I can use the high sim detail and world detail. So that's true. I  was also hoping for a TS5. I was thinking they can bring back some things from TS2 and 3 because both had some great gameplay. I know I miss having the headmaster come to my house for my kids to go to private school. Geniussss. Or how they would get in the car. I love the small things. Just have to wait to see where the future game play going to go.

@RogueRageArts, thanks for replying and telling me the history behind your screen name! 🙂  I've had this screen name since TS2 (I had another one for TS1) .🙂

I'm glad to hear TS3 works so smoothly on your computer! :eahigh_file:  I don't know how it would work on my current one, but on the one before it the game was almost unplayable.

I hope for a TS5 also! 🤞  I've enjoyed all of the versions of the Sims and think that they all have a bunch of stuff to offer! ❤️  In the Original , I loved Unleashed, Super Star, and Makin' Magic the best!  In TS3 I loved the Create -A-STyle (CASt) wheel !  That was my favorite part of TS3! In TS4 I love the toddlers and the ability to multitask the most as well as some other things.  But that gameplay for TS2 was iconic! 🥳 (I loved trying to impress the Headmaster too! And TS2 University was the best!)   I was always playing TS2, and never got tired of it or bored. My hope is that they take the best from all 4 version when they make (if they make) TS5!

Speaking of cars, it was in TS2 that they would get in the car and drive away, while strangely in TS3 the car would teleport into the road and the Sim would just teleport into the car! 🤨 I have no clue why they did that!  😃  Cars would be a bit hard to do in TS4 since some towns like Forgotten Hollow (the Vampires GP) don't have roads! 🤨 So, it would be a lot of work for them to make those areas have cars, and I don't know if it would be worth their while since the game doesn't have an open world. 🤔  But they might be able to find a way to make it work. 😉

  • I would be fine waiting for a new game to have everything, I'll be playing sims till I cant anymore😂
