@DarkestPenguin Hi! I clicked "me too" because, almost every time I start a new save / new household, there is a fire when my sim cooks anything with the stove / oven. It's really annoying! I also just clicked "me too" on the thread that @simsplayer818 shared and I'm hoping that the team can investigate possibly toning this down. Meanwhile, and in addition to the suggestions that simsplayer shared, I also suggest having your sims travel to the Willow Creek Archive Library and having them read the Cooking Skill book for a no-cost way to increase their skill. I'm also saving my game before cooking just incase. Plus I keep a backup save. My Sims just had their first waffle machine fire, despite her having a high cooking skill and watching the waffles carefully. They'd only just started cooking when it went up in flames. Sometimes it's skill, sometimes it's a bug and sometimes it's just random and makes no sense 🧑🍳.
