Patch affects groups

Please fix this ASAP because I'm not going to play anything that will ruin my whole system of club in my 48 families

I hope there is an emergency patch today.

I want to get the SP tomorrow but see no point in spending my money if I'm not even playing the game.

Well then at least you can understand why many of us are no longer buying Sims 4 stuff because we are missing that life stage some of us feel the game is empty with out. It is sort of like what you feel with having clubs then having them go away and no longer in your game. It is how it feels to have toddlers for 11 years and then they make them disappear and never come back again. People tell me to suck it up and get over it - but I bet you get the point of how we all feel that miss the toddlers and they have left us waiting over 2 years now. How would you feel if clubs stayed gone that long?

Of course to me game play things are on a lesser plane than an entire life stage - so missing a game play feature is a small comparison - but still it might help others who did not feel what we feel about missing toddlers - understand a little better what it is like to have an important part of your play style torn away from you and your game.

I am not affected by the clubs missing as I don't play with clubs period - but I can feel your pain as I just cannot enjoy this game without toddlers so I can see how you feel. It is just not your game any more when something vital is suddenly not there anymore. For the sake of the clubbers - I do hope they fix it soon for you all - a lot faster than we have gotten toddlers anyway. LOL.

(Just to see the prospective - I used to play my Sims games 4-6 hours every day but since Sims 4 came out in 2014 I still do not even have 280 hours into the game because I just cannot enjoy it without the tots. (That's how badly Sims 4 cripples my play style having no toddlers. Map builders are going through the same problem with no ability to build as they are used to in previous Sims games in Sims 4, and this has also not changed since this game came out). Granted yours is just a broken issue and I am sure they will eventually fix it, unlike me getting the tots or builders getting more build - but at least you can taste what we feel and why we complain a lot about it. It is hard to enjoy a game you have played for over a decade one way and not have that in the game anymore - you must see that even though it's only been a few days for the clubs.

No, I get you guys.

I understand because I've said before that what I really want is toddlers or pre-teens because anything else will only hold my interest for a day or two. A new life stage or state has longer play-ability for me.

There is a difference though.

TS4 is the only game I play now. If I can't play it because something I really want is broken or missing?

I move on but it will be with sadness. I would uninstall TS4 and not look back. I did it for a year when it first came out, didn't like what I saw and left it and the forum behind. Then they added some stuff in that I thought I could enjoy and came back.

I do believe that they want to include toddlers. Surely, they can see the money opportunity? That they haven't included them is a testament to how weak the TS4 game engine is and that they haven't been able to get them to work right.

If I start a thread about the blue sky people will write that the blue sky is worth nothing without toddlers under it ;) . I also hope for an emergency patch in 45 minutes.

I agree exactly. Fingers crossed they are working hard to fix it for you.

LOL I read that as "blue sky people" and thought "well, that's an interesting new type of sim".

I was testing some of my mods out yesterday and I felt the loss of those two extra club members. My venues didn't feel as active and alive. I sent my sim to the cafe and three clubs met there. Losing those 6 Sims, I could see it. It wasn't the same. Plus, I carefully created all the clubs in my save so that all my housed sims were in clubs. I worked with the 8 sims per club limitations but now I have all these sims who are not in clubs.

Also, did you notice that your sims had their relationship levels reset?

All of mine in the affected clubs went from friends to barely acquaintances.

Hello @CarpeNoctemSims - I must admit that I couldn't resist to continue my current game and have simply played with 6-member-clubs. That went quite well and I didn't observe any relationship decay (no mods/CC here). However I want this issue to be fixed so that I can enjoy Vintage Glamour. I also hope they fix the waterslide (my Sims walk back on the slide instead of next to it and that's driving me crazy) and potion-brewing on ovens (the game generates invisible copies of the potion that block the oven and can only be emoved by using build mode). I want to play a club of herbalists :D !!

No money for the butler pack from me until clubs are fixed. The pack isn't going anywhere, after all, no risk of a digital product being sold out before I'm ready to buy ;) (Not patched yet)

are they gonna fix it soon? I even asked SimGuruDrake and SimGuruNick about a hotpatch, yes I got that desperate!!!!
