If you use mods/cc,try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.

The moodlet went away on its own. I tried recovering my last couple of saves but it doesn't show up in those either. If it happens again I'll test without mods.

The Dazed moodlet just showed up again, and it's still there when I load my game without mods. Unfortunately since I don't know what's causing it I can't really test in a save that's never used them.
I do have a moody shrub now that Enchanted by Nature is out, but this shouldn't be one of the moods it generates.
Was there anything that the cat was doing or place where they were when the moodlet appeared?

When I noticed the moodlet the cat was just chilling on the floor. I hadn't been paying attention to what she'd been doing before the moodlet showed up, unfortunately. It only took a couple of sim hours for it to go away on its own.
