Placing outdoor styled rooms

Sometimes when I place an outdoor "styled room" downloaded from the gallery, it's automatically placed on top of a platform that I can't remove. This does not appear to happen with the styled rooms m...

    I gave that a try and the floor went down but the walls of the platform stayed up. I tried deleting the platform walls with the sledgehammer tool but the tooltip said there was nothing to delete. I thought maybe it was just a build mode thing and decided to test it in live mode. Unfortunately it didn't work.

    However, when I dragged the arrows to lower it, it did actually work! And I was able to delete the flooring too! But thank you for the suggestion, it made me test out a few different things!

@yaboicolleen can you use the arrows on the platform to lower it? It will always keep the outline of a separate room when clicked on but you should be able to click it and drop it down to the same level as the rest of the lot, so lowering the platform as you can't remove platforms that have been built on. You can only lower them.

You can then choose a turf/grass from the outdoor category of build mode flooring and cover everything with the same grass, since you can't use terrain paint on platforms.

I've got outdoor platforms on some lots and I'm able to lower mine by clicking the down arrow. (I say clicking because dragging the arrow is for decking and clicking is for platforms).

As to why they are on platforms in the first place I don't know about that. But they should be able to be lowered.

    @yaboicolleen that's interesting so I wonder how their creator designed them. I use flat or low pieces of deck for outdoor rooms if I want to create different shapes, like rounded sections or grassy steps. I wonder if that's what they've done.

    But as long as you've got it the way you want it to look now then that's great.
