Possible for visiting sims to generate closer when on big Windenburg lot?
Long story short: is there a way to get sims to stop generating so dang far away when they're invited over for a party or just to hang out? And then to actually get them to use the right front door - other than regularly resetting that because it constantly changes on me (I've commented on that thread)? I'm tired of my sims needing to wait over a sim hour for the sim to actually show up on the lot and then to need even more time to get to the wrong door.
The long story: I'm playing a legacy family and I'm on generation 5. They are on the 64x64 lot in Windenburg, and it has been the most annoying lot to have a family live on, but it is also the perfect lot for the whole story/concept. But I find it a bit crazy just how far away sims generate when coming to visit - it can take them over a sim hour to get to the actual lot and knock on the door. On top of that, that long trek brings them to the back of the lot, making them then go all the around to the front of the lot to knock on the door (or, half the time, just walk through the house to then go knock on the door). Yet, when the sims go to school or work, the go to the front of the lot and just disappear over the boundary line (which, I know, is normal for school and work).
Currently, I have the house flipped so that the back of the house is against the front of the lot and vice versa, just to make it a bit easier for visiting sims to get to the front door and to lower the amount of people that come to the back and walk through the door to the front. It has helped a bit...when the right front door has that setting. And still sometimes they go to the back door just because, it's all quite ridiculous and seriously lowers time the sims can hang out or for me to get party stuff done.
