Even after updating the game on 7/16 to fix the pregnancy issue and even with repairing the game when the Try for Baby and Pregnancy test were still missing, the pregnancy state is still not working. The “fix” didn’t seemingly fix the issue.
Yes, I tried without mods. Yes, the game is up to date. The issue still persists.

Do try above steps first and test a new save game. Also make sure to try after about 2 sims hours.

No, you shouldn't have to. It should work but maybe a mod is still interfering so it's best to first try on a fresh folder/save
Once you have verified that, you can put your save back (best a copy) and test if it works that way.
If you already had a mess-up pregnancy in game, there might still be issues but I haven't been able to collect data on that yet.
Your save game is still safe and so is all your other content.
