Pregnancy glitches?

I just started playing The Sims 4, and in my current game, I encountered a couple glitches related to the mother's pregnancies.

First, the mother was in the second trimester, and apparently got pregnant again. The toilet offered the pregnancy test, and then another pacifier icon appeared. She had one pacifier icon for being in her second trimester, and another for discovering that she's pregnant. Eventually, they became third trimester and second trimester. When the third trimester icon started its countdown, I was curious what would happen. The baby just disappeared, leaving her with only the pacifier icon for the second trimester pregnancy. I assumed that the system noticed the second pacifier icon and reset so only the second trimester pregnancy was valid, ignoring the earlier one.

Later, another pregnancy started its countdown for the birth, while the family already had a baby in the bassinet (the same one that was given to them automatically when the first baby was born). I wondered whether they'd be given another bassinet, or if they'd have to buy one. But again, the baby just disappeared. I assumed the game doesn't support 2 babies at the same time, but some online searches indicated that it is supported.

I don't really have a save for either of these glitches. The game has moved on quite a bit since either of them happened.

  • the game doesn't support pregnancies while your pregnant. Maybe there's mod that allow it but it's not a game mechanism. Sounds more like a glitch.

Did you ever get any lastException files in your doc folder during this ordeal ?

Did the pregnancy occur with or without TFB ?

Yeah, I figured the mother being both in her third trimester (with a countdown for being in labor) and in her second trimester was a glitch of some kind.

I searched my filesystem and found five lastException_*.txt files. I'm not sure how to tell which one would be from which glitch.

I don't think I selected TFB, but both parents were feeling pretty flirty and they were engaging in Woohoo without me telling them to. (Kinda like the way they sometimes check on crying babies, infants, and toddlers automatically without me telling them to.) And both of them are family oriented as their overall goal.

This may be less likely to occur now, just because caring for 4 kids (soon to be 5) is keeping them too tired for much Woohoo/TFB. Although the eldest is now a teen, and is able to help with the younger ones, so...

Don't think they auto-tfb. Whoohoo can happen but TFB shouldn't be autonomous.

Can you upload the lastException to googledrive or one drive or another file sharing site and post the link here ?

If it happens again, I'll know to make a note of the time, find the most recent lastException file, and save it. Yeah, looking for some sort of exception file should have been obvious to me, but I've been away from software development for a while, and I was just learning the game.

If they can't TFB on their own, then the only thing I can think of would be if I entered another TFB while they still had one in their queue. But the second TFB would have happened soon after the first, not a trimester later.

Or maybe I misclicked TFB instead of Woohoo when she was already pregnant? (Woohoo was an effective way to increase their Fun level when they were so busy taking care of the kids.)

It sounds so much like a case of superfetation that I would feel like implementing it into my storytelling.
