@sparilisThank you for voicing this. I'm not an elder, but I've resisted playing with them, as they are not very fun or entertaining. I also didn't know exactly what needed to change and you've said it perfectly, I think!
@EA_Cadethank you!
edit (@EA_Cade): I hope this came across as intended (constructive); upon reading it again I am unsure if it sounds insulting to the Sims team, who I assume put a lot of thought and effort behind each of their projects. Thank you!
I know some real life elders that can run rings around me. So it could maybe be optional to add the grumps and the stooping but then also have the fit and active elders.
I sometimes just make an adult with white hair and extra lines to represent an older family member rather than an elder unless it's for a big multi generational family. I have Minerva Charm running all of my food stalls for some reason and the poor dear looks like she's really suffering. I keep thinking my Sim should give her a hand instead of just standing there!

I agree about making Sim that are younger to look older for game play. Just think of Vladdy Daddy as he is a young adult. LOL I also use this trick in game. The constant complaints and grumps are a little trying at times.
