I saw that and almost deleted it, not having any clear understanding of what it was. I'm in the habit of deleting the onlinethumbcache, the avatarthumbcache as well as the localthumcache.package. Helps to keep my game running smoothly.
I'm by no means an expert, but this item showing up after the patch seems to contain the changes made. I'm disinclined to delete it, myself. but I will await a professional answer on this.

I just spotted this file today too so would like to know if it can be safely deleted.

Hey all,
The localsimtexturecache.package file acts as a cache of composited Sim textures, it's used to speed up loading times.
While it IS safe to delete, it will be generated again the next time you launch the game, and has a file size limit of 100 MB. - NefSoul6 months agoRising Novice
