Random Female Sims Walking The Street at Night & Talking about Cash

1. I don't have any mods in my game

2. It's not only random townie sims , it's also pre-made ones and also ones I've created

I started noticing this three months ago and ignored it but finally one day I had one of my sims go out and talk to two of them, one was Judith Ward and the other one was one of my created sims and they would do this every night and in their conversation bubble they would be talking about cash and out of the blue they would start walking away, so my sims son was visiting and started talking to that same sim and out of the blue he started following her down the street, I switch over to him and saw he was still following her and finally I had to reset him to stop.

What is that about ?

Because I clean my game so much I don't see it as much , but I found that really start, I already clean origin, clean my sims game and also did resetting the game to factory setting once I start seeing that in my game.

Thanks for reaching out to share your concerns about this. It's wonderful to encounter simmers who care about keeping the game age appropriate.

Thought bubbles are there to signify a conversation. Fire Hydrants, airplanes, fish, even money appear in thought bubbles, often with no rhythm or rhyme. They can appear at any time of the day, in every conceivable scenario and they can be about nothing at all or anything and everything age appropriate (as The Sims 4 is rated T for teen). For example, money could represent a shopping spree, wanting to go out to an expensive diner, thinking about taking a fancy holiday, maybe it is pay day and they are excited about having money in the bank to splurge at a party, it could even be about worrying about the house bills, or they could just be bragging about all their wealth, etc. There's a wide array of topics that little symbol can represent.

From reading your posts and explanations behind why you were concerned about sims on night time strolls getting money thought bubbles when talking with other sims, I can understand how those dots are being connected for you. Please let me assure you, there is no correlation between sims going for a walk at night and the money thought bubble popping overhead. There is nothing nonferrous behind those interactions.

Random townies like to chat. There is nothing new in that. You do know that you can give your Sims orders instead of leaving them out on the street chatting, right?

@jpkarlsen Talking is never new in all the sims game no matter if you are playing sims 1 or sims 4 , the strangeness of this is they are walking out at night mostly celeb sims and some random townies talking about cash and most of them are female sims.

The time I saw Judith Ward out there I was playing a household who son was attending college from home, I refuse to travel all the way to her house to drag her back home so that the game would drag her back there after I return to continue playing with the household I was playing with while she was walking the street.

Because she kept walking by the house seeming like she was waiting for someone to come out of the house was crazy, so I had his dad take a break from painting and talk to her and she started talking about crash just like the other female sims walking street, I just found that part strange and something that need to be fixed. I just waited for them to finish their conversation and then she took off and spawn away and later returned to that same spot dressed different doing the same thing.

If your Sims are up and about the game will make sure that random sims are also in the neighborhood. The time of day is irrelevant in this regard. The thought bubbles generated over townie sims heads while chatting are random they simply chat. Your Sims are the only ones you can direct to talk about something specific. Or you can select gossip which is what the townies do.

Any Sim that are not currently played can be chosen to do other things by the game. Manning a Stall a bar or walking/jogging down the street. On occasion they may come by for a visit knocking on the door.

@jpkarlsen I thank you for your help , I'm really familiar with everything I've been playing this game for years maybe just like you. The changes in the game I don't like and found this to be one of them, why are celeb sims walking on the street at night and if my sims just say hello to them and they start talking about cash.

@jpkarlsen The issue is the programing for the game with certain celeb sims regarding the topic of them walking the street at night. I created a lot of townies sims who are butlers, vendors and mail carries and college student also. There are some things in the game that don't' make sense

Random Sims chatting to each other or to your Sims are nothing new. Even celebs will on occasion chat If you have Get Famous you will see them and you obviously have that pack. As I explained they do not talk about anything in particular they simply chat.

@jpkarlsenThe sense of it that don't make sense why are the sims walking like street walkers, I was trying to keep it clean. That's the part of it they need to fix, I play many games and know a lot of storylines to certain games are off but when you see something in the game that shouldn't be there because it's not making sense of female sims walking the street at night like street walkers, that why it don't make sense
