Sims 4 not playable after the royalty and legacy expansion

Since purchasing the Sims 4 royalty and legacy expansion pack, my Sims 4 no longer functions. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled it, cleared the cache, deleted all my game saves, and I'm now playing on the lowest graphics settings, yet my game still freezes constantly. This is extremely frustrating because this game is so expensive with all the expansions, and now it has been rendered unplayable. I have now placed all my hopes in the new patch from February 19, 2026 (7.1 GB), but the problem has not been fixed. It is frustrating. I play without mods or CC. I play on PC with the EA App.

I just want to play my 100 Baby Challenge :'( XD

When I deinstall the new pack that i bought it semi works for a little while. But that can't be a long term solution, because i only paid for them to play with them as well. I just got them for valentines day :(

(royalty and legacy, silcer screen style kit, tea time solarium kit, enchanted by nature, adventure awaits)

  • I was having the same issue, so in the EA app, I went to my Library, clicked "Manage," "Manage Add-Ons." Next to the Royalty and Legacy pack, the button said "Download" rather than "Uninstall." I chose Download, and turned on the auto-download option. There were actually three packs in my Library which were not downloaded. I started the game, and it's working. Royalty and Legacy start-up messages occurred for the first time and the Ondarion world is no longer grayed out, buy/build items and townies are showing.  I really hope this works for you!
