I'm not sure. It's never done this before and the only changes I've made are get new packs and change my origin password. How do I apply those changes you've suggested?

@H0117_39 Try this to start with: https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/03/windows-10-defender-controlled-folder-access.html
Compatibily mode is set by right-clicking on the Sims 4 icon on your desktop - Properties - Compatibility
Check if there's a check mark for the compatibility mode. If there is, remove it.
I've done that too. Nothing changed. I've just about given up at this point
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@H0117_39 Is this a laptop or desktop computer you're using ? If it's a laptop, have you tried if it works on a public wifi or at a friends house (I know, might be a bit difficult atm, depending where you are)
This is on desktop. When I downloaded the new packs it was on my friend's laptop at her place, though. Maybe I can try using my hotspot?

@H0117_39 If that's an option, it's worth trying. I'm not sure if I moved you in the correct thread or if it rather should be the one on gallery issues (connection issues mostly). You seem to have a bit of mixture of both (cause of the red crosses)
Do the pictures in your library load ? My library looks to be fine. It's my gallery that's just all kinds of screwed rn. I'm too scared to even upload my new builds into my library because I'm nervous I'll break that one too haha.
I tried using my mobile hotspot btw, no changes. I don't even know what to do anymore ☹️

@H0117_39 I'm going to move your post over to the online gallery thread. There's some more suggestions there but need to go eat right now so I'll do it afterwards. It's in General Discussion stickied if you want to take a peek in the meantime.
EDIT: Move now. See first post if anything helps
@BerylBast Origin is currently a real pain. Just try agian
What country are you guys in ?
I am in mainland of PRC, but currently using VPN to keep being connected
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@BerylBast OK. thanks for the info
Currently don't know what's going on, maybe it is some temp issue. I've forwarded this to EA Staff. - SimQARobo6 years ago

Hello @BerylBast @H0117_39 @pixies29
If you have this file \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\ConnectionStatus.txt , can you send it to me through private message?
@SimQARobo A txt had been forwarded to your inbox :]

- @SimQARobo I sent a private message to you as I also am having issues with accessing the online gallery.
Having problems connecting to the internet while in-game. Origin is connected (on-line). I restarted my router, uninstalled Origin, Repaired ALL SIMS 4 PACKS, Uninstalled Sims 4, Updated everything, Checked my firewall, checked my DSN, Reinstalled everything (Origin and Sims 4). Done practically everything to get online in the Sims 4 game. I just can't connect to the Gallery what so ever. Can anyone help me?
I am beginning to think that the New Game (Snow Escape) must be causing the problems. My game was working fine before the New upload. My game still says that it needs an internet connection to access but I have a connection since I am online.
- lilzairagrace5 years agoSeasoned Ace@urnat80 I am having this exact same problem and have also done all the above! Very frustrated because this has been going on for a few months now. Seems nobody will help.
- Gednaa5 years agoSeasoned Ace@lilzairagrace It may be something to do with your connection, which people here couldn't help with, without actually seeing your network settings.
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@lilzairagrace Did you try the ping thing ? Did that fail or not ?
