Re: Connect a child/underage account to my account as a family member
Unfortunately there is no code. The only way at this time to get Sims 4 on to an underage/child account with just an EA ID is to contact support. We've been told they're working on a way to automate it, but for now - support is the only option.
I just went through this process successfully. I opened up a support case yesterday via EA's website for Sims 4 on PC with the Category "Manage My Account" and the issue type "Transfer Between Accounts". I received an e-mail from EA early this morning saying I needed to chat or call them to verify my accounts. I went to my support case and requested a call - EA called immediately and I spent about 15 minutes on the phone with the support agent who verified both my account and my daughter's and was able to transfer the game to her library (he actually left the copy on my library too, which is fine).
I also asked the support agent about how I would get expansion packs on my daughter's account, as purchasing through the EA Website doesn't seem to provide a "gift" or "code" option - it looks like it just goes straight to my account. He said if I purchase through the EA Desktop app there should be an option to assign the purchase to one of my underage accounts. I started the process of buying one just to see what happened - it asked for all my Credit Card information and a button to "Click to review order" - I guess it's possible on the next page there's a place to choose the EA ID I want the game to go to - but given what I found on this thread:
It sounds like that may not be correct. Now that thread specifically talked about not being able to buy gifts for friends - I guess it's possible the EA Desktop app does provide you the option to pass the purchase to one of your linked underage accounts, but I'd rather not experiment with that and end up having the pack stuck on my account - can anyone on this forum verify whether or not this is possible? Otherwise, it sounds like buying expansion packs from Amazon is the only way to go.
