Re: [FAQ] Why don't my expansion packs transfer between platforms?

I used to play sims on my old Xbox all the time but my Xbox got really laggy on the game after having it for 7+ years and now that I have a new ps5 I downloaded sims and signed into my ea and was kinda upset when all my expansion packs didn’t transfer, now I don’t even play any more bc I don’t want to have to spend all that money again, hope they would fix that and make it so u could restore packs because that was one of my favorite games.

@QueenTree752 and @Akii_Yokaii unfortunately the game is a different product for each platform. There are different manufacturers involved whether it be Microsoft or Sony, etc. You can go from PS4 to PS5 and personally I've moved my game easily across 4 different Xboxes. But unfortunately you can't go from one console to another or from console to PC as it's a different product that was made by someone else and purchased from a different source.
