hey, i had this exact problem
I went into:
options -> game options -> other -> unchecked the box for "enable custom content and mods" (apply changes)
after this i exited the game and started it back up and the "in event pop up" showed up and worked.
I think the problem is you might have the tick box checked even if you do not have cc

My mum in NZ just got it today, I still dont so Im just about to do a full repair and reinstall to see if I can get it to show
Netherlands calling; still nu happy bunny and not a word from anyone about the schedule of rolling out.
I've just spent the last 4 hours redownloading the whole game. Removed all mods, mods turned off, cleared cache files, removed all my saves. Still nothing. My mum booted up the game for the first time on her laptop and it appeared straight away for her. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or why I dont have it still. And Im about to give up. Worst implementation EA.
Well I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game in an attempt to see is the login rewards would appear and it looks like they have not. I live only TWO time zones away from the California, so this is very strange. Normally stuff like this is rolled out to all USA consumers first, so I find it very interesting that I don't have access to the event as of yet.
It's now the 12th of June in AU and still nothing.
STILL nothing for me.. US/ Windows 11/ No mods/ updated game
I understand the phased rollout even though imo its dumb. But it seems everyone else around me is able to claim them. IF it happens that I end up being so unlucky that they never show up on my screen, how do I let EA know? So far, it seems my requests for help on the app are either ignored or never make it through.
12th June in Australia and STILL No pop up for the event no freezer bunny, nothing. I am on a MAC and have NO mods, updated the game, cleared cache and every other suggestion I have seen going around. I am going to be SOOOO annoyed if I don't get the items!! I have logged in every single day of the event, this is beyond frustrating.
