Re: How to buy a preowned business from NPS?

@shayber In the game without Mods/CC there is no way for a NPC to own the restaurant you made and used to own, as far as I know. The game will run it if you no longer own it, but I don't think an NPC will be owning it.

Regardless if the game is running the restaurant, you should be able to purchase the restaurant if you own "Dine Out" and have the funds (and as long as none of the other sims that you are playing own it.) Please try going to your phone and select 'purchase a restaurant'. then go to that restaurant and try to purchase it (then you will get a green checkmark on the bottom right of the screen to click when you select the restaurant).

If you are unable to purchase the restaurant please try the following: Move your mods folder to your desktop (save it for reference), then delete the localthumbnailcache.package file in your 'The Sims 4' folder. Now re-start your game and see if your sim is able to buy his business back. If you can't we can try a reset. Please let me know how it goes.
