Re: My sim malfunctioning as a parent.
@spiritedtreasure The parent won't necessarily have anything else in their queue beyond what you told them. But the infant's queue might have "watch" or "fuss" or "try to go night night" etc. and your parent Sim wanting to interact with them doesn't auto-cancel these things. They'll stand frozen waiting for the infant to finish and/or the action will time out and cancel because the infant wasn't "free" to accept it. That's why it works when you play as the infant - you can cancel the action to cry because they're hungry and replace it with be fed. Whereas the parent trying to queue feed while the infant's crying just has to wait until they finish (or until you switch to the infant to cancel).
Growing together does have some things you can teach the infant - if you got them all the way to able to crawl while having Growing Together installed, then you certainly found that and I congratulate you! - but the other actions you asked about (flashcards and learning to walk) are only available after they become a toddler.
Congrats on your young spellcaster! And good luck with future Sim infants... they are definitely a lot of work.
