@aodoherty I have my families in Sulani. And after cleaning up the sea a few times and even putting out volcanic ash, I never got around to it again. So I think so, once it's all cleaned up there's no need to remove the trash.
However, I wouldn't want the reverse to be a possible bug as well, since I completely cleaned up Sulani, I've never had to find dirt around, ever.

With the sea all clear you'll start to notice differences, but I don't want to spoil any more than that.
