Reaper Reward week 1 tasks issues

Séance table does not give the option to ask for spirit for Ambrosia.

I don't think the mods I have do anything to stop it as I've gotten through no problem until this last task.
Going by suggestions that were given to others, nothing is happening. 
Should I still continue to do tasks that are written in a guide and hope for the rewards?

Also the tasks are no longer appearing. I have the Grim event icon but not the tasks sub menu.

I'm hoping that with so many issues with this only being week 2, that another update/fix will happen to resolve this.
