Recent Update - Mischief Skill

I thought the update stated sims who do not have the mischief skill would not autonomously troll teh forums or gain the mischief skill? I updated my game and my sim who dislikes deception, potty humor, pranks, malicious interactions just autonomously trolled teh forums without even having any skill in mischief. Does this update only apply to new saves?
