Region Lock removal?

Hiya,

A few years back, I bought the Sims 4 will on Holiday in Eastern Europe, and my Sims 4 has been stuck in Polish/Czech/Russian. I think this is due to some price difference, so a language barrier is in place.

Since the Sims 4 will be coming out free in October, will that mean that the language barrier will be removed and I'll be able to get English?

I'm really betting on this to happen.

The game will use the location it was purchased in to set the available languages for install in some cases as you mention, but in some cases we have the ability to change this on your behalf.

Hello,
I've contacted EA about this and now I've received a new tab on my Origin which contains all the available languages on the Sims 4.
However, when I try to update the new tab, I'm presented with the following error and it doesn't look like there's anything I can do.

I can't see your pictures, but I'm assuming you're seeing the issue in this thread now?

If so, that's being investigated right now and hopefully I'll have an update to share soon.

Hiya,
Im not sure if this is the issue mentioned in that thread, as I am able to download my original version of the Sims after I uninstalled it, however I cant update the new version that I recently received from EA.

Hey,
Did you manage to get the English version? I contacted EA support and they said that nothing can be done because I bought the Sims 4 in Poland and it does not matter that I live in England now. If I already bought the sims 4, I cannot remove it without the expansion packs and "buy" the base game again in UK with English language...
I wish I didn't buy it back then so I could download it now in English...
But maybe you spoke with someone else, I really hope you managed to get it and could share what you requested.
