relationship bug

@ThatDudeBlue I know you said you don't play with Mods... but do you have CC? CC can also cause buggy behavior after an update if a change in the update conflicts with one or more CC's. (Directions are in the spoiler tag, if you need them.)

If removing the CC is not the issue, did you run a game repair? (Directions are in the spoiler tag, if you need them.)

When you say you tried everything, can you can you list the things you tried? 

Does the issue occur in a new game save?

I have tried the repair. I have no CC either. My laptop I can’t handle them so I can’t have them. One of the forms said to end their relationship and try again and it didn’t work. I try restarted my laptop. I made sure my laptop was up to date. I started save after save just thinking it was just that one save but it was very one of them. I can try and repair again if needed but it just made me sad because I updated back on the 2nd and haven’t been able to play and I was so excited to start another legacy save. Is there anything else I could try. The forms I did try were from years ago so they might be outdated 

@ThatDudeBlue Is this happening with other couples with 'normal' relationship-type traits and likes/dislikes, etc.... it other words, Sims for whom no traits indicate that either of them would be more challenging to get into a relationship, such as unflirty, socially awkward, etc.

I have done things like move them both into the same household/home so I could control both of their reactions, doing events or actions that are oozing with romance, and so forth. You could also try cheating their needs to not decay and have them take a small vacation from work so they can have time to not worry about other things. Can you include a screenshot of their traits, relationship levels, and mood?

I have looked at both of their likes and other stuff and nothing conflicts with each other. I have never had any of these issues before this update. i don't want  to cheat because I would have to do it with everyone I want to be together. I have never had any issues before this update. I am repairing again to see if that helps.

 You could try this:

• Move them into the same household in Manage Households, then save them to your library and place them in a new home. Then wait a Sim day and try the interactions from both sides (while playin gone of the Sims, then while playing the other Sim), since you can control them both if they're in the same household.
• If that doesn’t work, you can upload the household to the gallery and I can try in my game.

Did you check with other couples to see if you have this issue, or if it's just this one couple?

I made a new sim and for some reason, it was working perfectly fine and worked. The sim I chose was also already married and it worked just fine. I am going to add my sims to the gallery and or go back to an old save and see if it would work. I am just so confused on why it didn't work yesterday but today. I will update and see if adding my sims to the gallery to see if it will work.

It did not work. I am going to just make a new set of sims and start over. Thank you for trying to help.

I am so sorry but I found out why I was having so many problems. Its the lot I chose for my sim. I made two sims and I tried on both and the one with the arrow is the lot that I was having problems with.

@ThatDudeBlue Great detective work!! Thank you for sharing the screenshot and your solution! I can see in the screenshot that this problem lot is 'Potter's Splay' in Willow creek. I also see that there seems to be a translucent pill-shape over the lot, rather than nothing (normal... see below):

Was there a home placed on the lot before? Is it a home you made or one that you got from the gallery? I'm wondering if the home, and perhaps now lot itself, was glitchy and is now bugging out the lot? Well, I'm so happy your Sims are able to relate normally when not on that lot, and that you found the lot was causing the issue. What a relief!! 🙌
