Relationship Difficulty in MCCC

Hi there,

the recent version of MCCC offers the ability to change the difficulty for friendship/romance progress. I tried to use this option to make relationships progress a lot slower, but even when using the lowest possible value (-50, i.e. 500% slower), relationships progress just as fast as without the mod. As suggested by someone from their support, I tried the following things:

- Remove all other mods/CC and try again (plus removing some files like localthumbcache.package, which I always did during the following attempts as well)

- remove MCCC and see if progress is changed (it's the same)

- repair the game in Origin and try again with & without MCCC

- delete the Sims 4 folder in Documents, repair, start the game to regenerate the folder and try again with & without MCCC

Nothing really helped and I've always had the same results. They presume it might be an issue with the game and not the mod, so I was told to make a post here. Maybe someone can help?

  • @BlackEmperor33  Hi!  I just saw your post, so apologies for being so late.  Did you figure this out?  I'm new to MCCC and still learning how it works.  It's so complex!  However, I read on deaderpool's page that in order for the relationship difficulty percentage to work, it "requires the Flag Relationship Rate Change on a Sim to be implemented."  You would click on the sim (or sims) you want to change, click on the MCCC menu, MC command center submenu, and sim flags which includes the rate change flag.    If you haven't found your answer already, maybe look for this.

By the way, I'm so sorry about how you were totally rebuffed.  I don't know of any rule that says the folks on here can't help with mods.  I see it all the time.  I just read a post in which an "expert" provided specific information on how to use something in MCCC.  I've seen a number of AHQ helpers suggest using MCCC to fix a particular problem.  In my opinion, it would be highly hypocritical for helpers on AHQ to suggest using a mod without any intention of helping someone who is having trouble using it.
