Rentals and Apartments Stuck in Loading Screens After New Patch
This is a very confusing one I haven’t managed to solve through well-known methods. Ever since the 9/18 patch, I’m unable to load any of my rentals and/or apartments in my existing save file. All of the other lot types load and function fine, and surprisingly faster than usual, but both rentals and apartments get stuck in a loop of loading screen. More like the short jingle that plays after a lot is loaded plays at the back, but it doesn’t actually get into the Live Mode.
I’ve cleared my cache files, both the localthumbcache ones and the ones in caches folder, I’ve deleted the mods I have before the patch and repaired the game as well but no avail. The game seemingly does not generate a LastException file from loading into these lots either.
I will try moving the families to a non-rental lot to see if there’s anything wrong or corrupted with them and update on it later, but so far that’s all I’ve managed to gather on this issue.
@crinrict I didn't have any custom playmats, the one household with an infant had the playmat that came with the pack. But that gave me the idea that maybe something within the lots were faulty. So just to be sure I evicted the households so they could leave all of their furniture back and move them to a completely empty place, either bulldozed the lots or replaced them from other stuff from the gallery DX9 settings and moved the households back in with DX11 settings. So far, they seem to load with no visible issues. It was probably something that glitched in those lots..? The lots are gone now but it's miles better than losing an entire save file!
