Request for All Diplomas/Certificates to be Orderable through Phone/Computer

I saw sim guru Doi (@GrimSuruDoi) tweeting about sims being able to get marriage certificates in Growing Together. He also said "sims can request additional copies via the phone or computer". It wasn't yet clear if sims who married before the pack can do that as well, but all of this inspired me to request just that.

Please, could the various sim certificates and diplomas be orderable through phone/computer?

The new marriage certificates, the baby birth certificates, university diplomas, high school diplomas, any other possible similars I might be forgetting...

High school diplomas are especially troublesome since unless you move the teen out of the house before they age up to young adult, they are unable to get the diploma, since it's household inventory object and cannot be placed in sim inventory. Being able to trigger the redelivery of it would be wonderful.

University diplomas tend to be easier, but things can still go wrong and diplomas be lost, and if you download any sim with a degree from gallery, they won't have access to their diploma. Being able to order a new copy would solve that problem, too.

'n of course if it isn't already included in Growing Together, it would be lovely if the sims who were married before the pack came out could order a copy of their marriage certificate as well.

  • I love this idea, but I suspect they’re going to be using the existence of the milestone to track what can be ordered, so I doubt we’ll be able to order anything achieved prior to release since it won’t have been tracked as a milestone.

University diplomas at least do get tracked though, because the game needs to know what you graduated with to give you the job boosts. So in theory we could reorder that, since the data is somewhere, and maybe marriage certificate for a current marriage even if not a previous one… hmm…

    It’s definitely a cool idea.

  • @Lumiasta agreed. I have so many little sims that never had a birth certificate because I made them as toddlers or kids, that I really wish I could get certs for.
Adoption certificates would also be really cool.
  • Yeah, I think it’s a weird design choice to put high school diplomas in the household inventory. My high school graduates usually move out to go to university, or get a job, but their parents own their high school diploma forever.

<mod>I can’t put it on the packing crates, either.</mod>

If I want to give them their high school diploma I have to move THE PARENTS out. Maybe move the whole family into Junior’s first apartment, selling all belongings, and then split the household and have mom and dad buy their house back. I… don’t care enough to do this? Which means mom and dad keep the diploma.

It just feels like a weird oversight. Or fridge logic.

     In short? what @Lumiasta said!

  • So you can order a marriage certificate if your sims were married before the pack came out and their marriage shows up in the milestones. You go on a computer, click “Household”, and then click “Request Marriage Certificate ($50)”! Hope this helps!

  • I was thinking this too.  I have lost many birth certificates when I have moved house but forgotten to take them off the wall of the old house.  I wish the birth certificates had names on as well so that I knew whose was who's in a multisim household.  I know there is a mod for that but I don't use mods or cc and I also play on console where I can't use mods or cc any way.  I agree about the the high school diploma as well.  I always delete it unless that particular sim is going to be living in their childhood house because it is made obsolete by not being able to take it with you.

  • I would like to choose which marriage I get the certificate for. I have two different let’s plays going on a throuple and a black widow and can not get the write marriage certificate. One of the husbands in the throuple died and the remaining two had a renewal of their marriage but wasn’t able to get the correct certificate.
