Restarting game saved paused
Hey, guys! Everytime I'm about to stop playing, I put my sims to sleep, pause the game, save and quit. When I go back to the game, it's not paused anymore, my sims are awake and living their lives,...
If you pause the game then save and exit it will load there next time unless someone loads that save and start playing. What I suspect is that you have another household in the same save and start playing them expecting the first household to still be paused. If so that is not the case. Since it is the same save they will start living their own life.
Hey, @jpkarlsen! Thank you for your reply, but this is not the case.
I'm the only one playing, with one family in the same household.
How do you start the game? Through the resume button or through Load Game?
Apart from not being paused is the game time the same as when you saved? If not how much of a discrepancy is there (hours, days).
@jpkarlsen, I start through the "Continue/Resume" button, on the EA app.
It's a matter of hours. Let's say around 3 to 5 hours.
The default for the game on load into any lot is for the game to be active. It does not open paused. There are mods that do have the game paused when you load in though. MCCC has an option to do it and there's probably one or two others that will do it.
As far as the sims not being where you left them, that does still happen if you have a mod so the lot opens paused but not nearly as much as it does without.
As @jpkarlsen said, if you play another lot, then when you come back to that specific lot, sims can be almost anywhere but most often on the sidewalk in front of the house since the game uses played sims in NPC roles when you are playing other households. No way around it. It does not matter if you play with autonomy on or off, it still happens.
Hope this helps.
